We are an original character post-apocalyptic forum role-play site
set in the universe of Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead.

Because we value originality and creativity, cannon characters are unavailable for play. They get their time to shine, now it's yours. We know you will be able to establish a character worthy of being chronicled in the history books of this new dystopia.

Role-playing anywhere in the Former United States is encouraged. We have designed this forum to be expanded, shaped and molded directly by the players themselves. This is your country now.

He drove all night so the girl could get some rest. When the sun peaked over the mountains he was just as awake as he had been in that little farm house of horror they left behind. There wasn't much of anything along the way, so he just kept going until they came close to the college campus. Vehicles littered the streets, making it impossible to drive through.

"And then there was this," he muttered.

"Why are we going to a college, where there's bound to be death, and a lot of it?" his voiced asked him, the voice as clear and real to him as if it were the girl speaking.

"When a b and c are scavenged, you go to d," he replied.

"Well d is impossible to get to. The roads are blocked, and good luck carrying the bags of weapons. We'll be an easy meal for those flesh eating bastards."

"Where we're going, we don't need roads," Jack said, then turned the vehicle to the curp and drove over it. If the girl wasn't awake before, she definitely would be now. He pulled onto the grassy field leading to the college, driving directly to the first building he saw. That would be the starting point.

"You stole that line from somewhere..."

"No I didn't I made that up, silence from you," Jack said as he brought them close to the MSU parking lot. "Em, we're here. I didn't exaclty think things through and now we're out in the open, but it looks clear to me."

Jack exited the truck and grabbed a remington shotgun from the back.

"The noise attracts them, so only use these as a last resort," he told her. "We sneak in, see the situation, sneak out if we have to. Savvy?"

Em was grateful when Jack told her to get some rest and had drifted off to sleep without even any attempt. She hadn't realized how tired she had been after the past several nights of getting little sleep, Constantly afraid of the infected finding her, even though she slept inside her SUV with the windows cracked just about 2 inches for air, she never had a good night's rest since leaving her Uncle's cabin. Kiba was already out in the backseat, long before Em dozed off.

Emily was sitting on the porch waiting for her grandpa to come home. In the living room, Kiba lay on his bed chewing on a chew bone, The TV was on the News, covering the events unfolding in the the big cities across the Nation and the world, but in their State, the focus was on the growing numbers of infected massing in the streets of Seattle and the civil unrest beginning to explode in sections of the city that was determined to be safe. The Army and the National Guard were Struggling to contain and control the situation, but already people were beginning to speculate that the Air Force might conduct the same kind of fire bombing missions that were conducted in Atlanta and other cities.

The small road going past the Marston Family farm heading into Republic, was buzzing with the traffic of the National Guard's convoy of Humvees and trucks carrying guardsmen and supplies and towing large artillery pieces. The road was bit of ways from the house but, still you could hear and see them in the night and traveling fast, strangely they were heading away from Republic

Suddenly the Emergency Alert System started buzzing on the TV and Kiba began to bark, just then the screen went blank and the News Station was suddenly cut from the air leaving only a multicolored and that annoying off air ring. Walking back into the house, she turned off the TV. Fear and concern began to fill her as the world was collapsing.

About an hour later Kiba Began barking and rushed to the screen door, Grabbing her Grandfather's double barreled shotgun, she walked out onto the porch with Kiba, to see her Grandfather's old Ford ripping it down the dirt road leading from the main road to the house, his Sheriff's lights flashing, and his tires kicking up clouds of dust.

The Bronco grinded to halt just in front of the house in a cloud of dust, before the driver's door burst open and her Grandfather stepped out, his khaki uniform disheveled and smears of blood here and thare. "Em! Grab your things-" He was cut off as a loud set of thunderous booms went off in the distance, followed by another set of booms in the direction of the town.

"Grandpa!" She was jerked awake by startling shake and bump. Kiba in the backseat had waken and barked a couple times alarmed by the suddenness. She raised her seat fast and scanned around, looked at Jack as if to say 'what's going on?' before She saw the campus parking lot around them.

"Em, we're here. I didn't exaclty think things through and now we're out in the open, but it looks clear to me." Rubbing her eyes from beneath her glasses she looked around before carefully stepping out with her shotgun. Yawning, as Kiba climbed up into the front and then out through her door.

"The noise attracts them, so only use these as a last resort. We sneak in, see the situation, sneak out if we have to. Savvy?" She nodded, acknowledging the need to be sneaky. They were in a place that would have been quite crowded on a normal weekday. "Hopefully we can find some food and water." She then turned to look down at Kib sniffing the ground. "Kiba, be quiet now when we go inside." He looked up to her, upon hearing his name.

Opening the breech and checking to make sure she both barrels were loaded, she stepped off to follow Jack. "Sooo Jack..." She was gonna ask about the voice in his head, but decided against it at this time. "What did you do before all of this?"

"Ironic to our situation, I was a teacher," he replied to her. "Though it was high school, American history. Nothing grand like this massive place. What about you?"

The door to the MSU was unlocked, and though everything inside was a mess and scattered around, it was empty. The food court had a few bodies lying on the ground, but nothing to worry about just yet. It appeared as if the place had been abandoned quite early, meaning maybe some supplies were still around.

He leapt over a counter at Taco Bell, still in hearing distance from Em but he escaped her vision briefly as he checked the back. He saw a faucet and turned it on, but nothing but muck came out. He then opened a freezer that had been shut down, the smell of rotten food crept into his nostrils.

"Nothing but muck over here," he called out. "Anything over there?"
